History of John Muir
John Muir, a native of Scotland, was a true lover of the environment. He discovered the beauty of California where he pioneered the preservation of the Giant Redwood trees. He helped establish our National Park System and was one of the founders of the Sierra Club.
The John Muir Inn, built in 1986 in Napa Valley, California, and fully remodeled in 2000, serves as our tribute to John Muir and his ideals. We also believe in the conservation and protection of our environment. To this end, we recycle and use products that are safe or that have low impact on (to) the environment.
